Jul 25, 2023Product releases this week: Aarke, Ruggable, Hoka and more
There are a ton of great products that drop every week — and we’re here, as always, to keep you up to date on the best of them. Each week, we’ll be rounding up a short list of our favorite product drops from the last seven days for you to shop as you sip your morning coffee or take a quick break from work. (Trust, it’s the only list you need for staying up to date on these things.)
This week brings the launch of Hoka’s latest edition of stability-focused running shoes, Aarke’s new seltzer maker in cobalt blue and Ruggable’s new Mediterranean coastal collection for seaside vibes.
Shop our favorite new releases below, but be fast — they’re prone to selling out.
DIY seltzer just got a whole lot chicer — and that’s saying a lot when it comes to Aarke, which has been making stylish bubbly water makers for a decade now. To commemorate the past 10 years, the company just launched a limited-edition Carbonator 3 in a bold cobalt blue with a cool matte finish, making it the visual focal point of all your hydration needs.
Patagonia just relaunched its daypack line with new styles and colors available for school backpacks, about-town packs and outdoor-adventure rucksacks. The brand’s super-durable Black Hole collection is now made from 100% recycled materials for a pack that’ll take you around the world, while the Refugio collection is ready for class or the trail (and it comes in a kids’ size too). The Fieldsmith collection is also here, with portability and convenience in mind. Finally, there’s the minimalist Atom collection, which is made for tech and getting around town. It’s all shoppable over at Patagonia.
You know Away’s luggage from Instagram and every other swooning article written about them in previous years (present company included), but the brand’s just given itself a major redesign with the launch of the new Classic suitcases. You can now shop them in a brand-new color palette with some design tweaks for smoother, more stylish traveling (better-positioned handles, monochromatic interiors) — plus, a new finish in customer-favorite gloss.
Usually, celebrity lines can be taken with a little grain of salt, but Drew Barrymore has gone and done for the house what she did with the chat show format: shaken it up and created something downright beloved. Now available from her line of homewares is the chair-and-a-half Drew Chair in a Sage colorway as well as the new Drew Stowaway Coffee Table, which gives you storage, plus a functional, stylish coffee table.
The coastal trend is here to stay, but throw in some Mediterranean vibes with Ruggable’s latest washable rug collection. It features ivory and blue designs, copper tones and hints of teal and red, in addition to the seafoam (yes, we said it) background of some of the pieces. The collection starts at $89 over at Ruggable.
Pores are going to exist whether you have a concealer or not, but helping them stay clear and degunked is a key way not to have them be noticeable. Peace Out just dropped a new scrubby Pore Perfecting Stick that unclogs pores in 10 to 15 minutes, thanks to the powers of kaolin clay, mushroom extract and a blend of fruits. It’s like an exfoliating mask for your nose: Use it two to three times a week, leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse.
Hair care company Kitsch has just come for damaged, processed and color-treated locks with its Strengthening Bond Repair Treatment bar that helps restore stressed-out hair, thanks to ingredients like marula oil and baobab, plus a vegan protein complex that helps to seal your hair cuticles and lock in moisture. Use it once a week in the shower by rubbing the bar between your hands and distributing it over your hair, then leave it for 10 minutes for superpowered strands. Plus, the bar form is way better for the environment than liquids — and travels with you sans liquids-allotment hassle.
Activewear company Girlfriend Collective’s “Girlfriend to Girlfriend” resale program has just launched, using partner platform Treet to help extend the life of your activewear when it’s not quite ready for recycling but also not in your most-worn pile anymore. It’s a way to sell clothing that can still be worn: Just take a picture (anything goes, minus intimates like undies), choose your price and then pack and sell it with Girlfriend’s prepaid, emailed label. Once you sell it, you’ll get 80% of the listing price in cash or 100% in in-store credit.
Timberland’s hitting the trails with its new Venture Out collection, with two new Greenstride Motion 6 hikers with TimberDry waterproof protection added to the collection. The shoes transition well from city living to rustic hikes, thanks to their technical qualifications (sturdy grip, all-weather construction), comfort and bold good looks. Selling for $150 for women’s pairs and $160 for men’s, these shoes are designed to move with you in six distinct ways, plus they’re made with sustainable “ingredients” that are just as protective and resilient as the chemical, conventional stuff.
Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer has already been something of a cult (fine, mass market) hit, and the brand’s just launched an attachment that’s guaranteed to make our good hair days even better — and save us from the trickiness of flyaways and frizz. Enter the Dyson Flyaway attachment, which has two modes to get your styling job done: You have a smoothing mode to dry and smooth your hair, plus a Flyaway mode that helps conceal loose little strands. It’s compatible with any existing model of the Dyson Supersonic (which happens to be our longtime pick for best high-end hair dryer), so you don’t have to splash out on a whole new model for it either.
Parachute’s linens are among the best when it comes to quality, softness and durability, but they’ve just gotten an organic shake-up with the launch of the brand’s organic resort towels and organic soft luxe bedding. Expect super-soft towels with jaunty striping, plus bedding sets in taupe with white trim or white with black trim for a sophisticated, hotel-like touch.
Hoka’s on-trend but extremely performance-focused line of shoes has just gotten a new addition: the Gaviota 5. It features a ton of improvements over the previous Gaviota 4 — think a ton of cushioning, a super-soft collar and a frame that’s more stable and supportive than ever for a more comfortable, confident, energizing run. It’s available in men’s and women’s sizes.
Any hair type brings its own challenges, and for thin hair, Drybar’s new thickening collection is here to help you out. First up is the Drybar Detox Thickening Dry Shampoo, which helps make hair look more full and dense — both on first application and over time. There’s also the Drybar Big Brew Instant Thickening Styling Treatment, which helps to fill out thin strands and gets your hair prepped for styling. (It’s especially powerful when used after every wash for peak thickening.)
Moon’s social media-famous tooth care brand is coming back again with another cosmetic enhancement for your teeth: a Luminous Shine Teeth Serum that marks the debut of the brand’s premium line of products. It has hyaluronic acid for deep hydration (and shine), plus urea peroxide and hydrogen peroxide for the whitening benefits you’re looking for. It’s vegan and cruelty-free too, so you can feel good using it day after day.
