Over the past few days, gamers have been receiving a lot of news regarding upcoming game releases and content that will be arriving on consoles, but what about items that won’t be available through consoles? During Gamescom 2023, gamers received a view of a Starfield Gaming Chair, which has been designed and built in collaboration with Microsoft and Mattress Brand Temur. The astounding gaming chair was shown of and it will undoubtedly put many gamer’s chairs to shame.

During Gamescom 2023, members of the public who have gone to Cologne, Germany, to take part in the event have been able to see the new Starfield Gaming Chair in all its glory. This has given observers a better view of the gaming chair than we can get at this current moment in time.

From what we can see, it is a rather large gaming chair with a huge seat, most likely padded with a mattress-type cushion, to make it even more comfortable than it would be normally. There are also two joysticks, one on each armrest, so whoever takes ownership of this beast of a chair will be able to position it any way they prefer, which will give them an even better experience whilst using this new gaming chair.

This isn’t all, along with the chair there will also be a cockpit of sorts that takes inspiration from Starfield, so the gamer feels they are actually navigating their very own starship. And with this cockpit, there is also a single wide screen that stretches along the “desk” with a few buttons positioned below the screen. We do not know if these buttons will have a use or if they are just for display, but it would be good if those buttons controlled settings like sound.

Once Gamescom 2023 is over, the Starfield Gaming Chair will go on a tour of sorts as it will be transported to a Saturn Xperion store, which is also be located in Cologne, Germany. It will be available for more of the public to see, but that isn’t all, as after that it will be transported again to another location which is a Tempur store in Westfield, Stratford in October 2023. The store’s shoppers will be able to try the chair out and enjoy how comfy it is before it is moved away one final time.

Once the Starfield Gaming Chair has done its tour throughout these locations, it will eventually be sold off through a charity raffle. All of the proceedings will go to charity, but this won’t be until the end of the year. Unfortunately, for anyone waiting to be told this chair will be publicly sold, you are out of luck, as it will only be available through this charity raffle, and once sold, it is gone forever. But there are numerous pieces of Starfield merch available on their main website, which may not be as glamorous, but will entice many players.

What do you think about this brand-new gaming chair from Microsoft and Temur? Would you want to sit in such a magnificent chair, or would it ruin you from any other chairs out there? Is it something you would be willing to purchase if it were on the market? Let us know in the comments what you think!
